About

About $80 billion of electricity sold in the US each year is generated by turbines burning natural gas. Governments are beginning to mandate, however, that energy be produced from renewable sources, and will likely soon impose strong incentives to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. Unfortunately, none of today’s “green” sources of energy are cost-competitive, forcing society to choose between price and sustainability. Los Alamos Solar Energy (LASE) LLC has identified the first practical method to generate electricity both MORE CHEAPLY and with LESS CARBON DIOXIDE EMISSIONS than burning natural gas. The idea is to use solar energy to “reform” natural gas into a higher energy fuel (which we call “SunGas”), and then burn the SunGas in standard off-the-shelf turbines to generate electricity. The result is cheaper electricity that is also up to 30% “green” (renewable).
